All immigrant visa applicants, including Diversity Visa applicants and fiancé(e) applicants, regardless of age, must submit a medical examination prepared by a panel physician. The medical exam is only valid for (at most) six months in normal cases  or three months in case of TB or other abnormal conditions.

Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months in order for an applicant to travel to the United States, Canada, and Australia. It is therefore recommended that applicants obtain their medical exams at least three  weeks before the interview date. The current basic examination fee for applicants age 14yrs and below and for age 15yrs and older can be found here. Applicants are responsible for these costs, as well as for the costs associated with additional tests or more specialized examinations as determined necessary by the panel physician
